Marjorie is a History and Geography teacher. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Education with an emphasis in environmental education. She works in the areas of environmental history and environmental education. For the project she compiled and analyzed Chilean park decrees and assisted in organizing material from the National Library of Chile.
Marjorie completed her coursework at the University of Pedro of Valdivia during which she served as an assistant in the courses, Discovery and Conquest in the Americas and Colonial Chile. She completed her degree with the thesis, “Environmental Education in the Chilean Educational Curriculum: Analysis in Relation to the Implicit Discourses about the Environment.” She was awarded recognition of academic excellence for her undergraduate coursework.
In 2013, she was certified in Environmental Education at the University of Albert Hurtado, where she was given the charge of assistant to the chair of Environmental History. She is currently studying for a Masters in History at the University of Chile.
